Kenneth Kitchen

Kenneth Dale Kitchen, 65 of Port Orchard, died on December 9, 2000. He was born on December 21, 1935 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska to Charles H. & Mabel A. (Fransico) Kitchen. He attended Mead High School in Mead, Washington. Kenneth married Evelyn M. Dschaak on July 7, 1961 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.Mr. Kitchen worked at the Seattle City Water Department for 29 years, retiring in 1996. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1955 as an Airman 1st Class, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. Kenneth was a member of the American Legion in Lacey, Washington.Surviving are his wife Evelyn; daughters Kimberly A. Haistings of Carnation, Washington, Charleen M. Wade of Seattle; and Carol J. Kopta of Port Orchard; brothers Charles H. Kitchen, Jr. of Grapeview, Washington, Theodore L. Kitchen of Mead, Washington, and Roy Kitchen of Murtaugh, Idaho; sisters Hazel White and Marie Adams, both of Mead, Washington, and Judy Rosencrantz of Murtaugh, Idaho; and 7 grandchildren.Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at 2:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Reception will follow at the home of Carol Kopta.
