Kenneth Lavier, 76, passed away March 19, 2020 at Washington Veteran’s Home-Retsil, Port Orchard. He was born June 27, 1943 in Idaho to parents, Kenneth and Helen Lavier.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marines as a Force Recon Scout Sniper and could always be seen wearing a Marine Corps t-shirt or ball cap. He was a professional fisherman for over 30 years and did all manner of jobs throughout his life – always connected with the outdoors in some way. He loved hunting, fishing, training his dogs, and was a kind and generous person to his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Lavier Sr., mother Helen Wilson, and step-mother Charis Lavier; and brother, Johnny Lavier.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Lavier; step-daughter Noel Gerulat; four grandchildren Teresa, Kevin, Angela, and Ashlynn; his brother, James Lavier, his half-sister Vicki Horne; his girlfriend Loraine Magee of 31 years, her daughter Beth, and two grandchildren Michael and Gabrielle.
