Kenneth 'Bud' C. Moore, 81, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on March 28, 2000.ááHe was born June 19, 1918 in Ritzville, Washington to William Moore & Florence (Steiner) Tuttle.ááBud was raised in Portland, Oregon graduating from Commerce City High School in 1936 with continuing education in Business at the University of Washington from 1954 to 1956. He married Lillian Marie Rutz on October 22, 1938 in Portland, Oregon.Mr. Moore worked in the grocery business all of his life.ááHe owned and operated C & C Supersave in Bremerton until his retirement in 1985.ááHe owned several other grocery stores and when not an owner, he managed Arts Food Center, Fred Meyers, Marketime IGA, and Safeway.ááBud served in the U.S. Navy stationed at San Francisco, California from 1942 to 1945.ááHe was a member of Retail Clerks 1105 and past member of Lake City Elks.ááHe enjoyed golfing (everyday if he could get away with it) and working in his yard.Surviving are his wife; sons Kenneth H. Moore (Nancy) of Moses Lake, Washington and Paul K. Moore (Kathy) of Federal Way, Washington; daughters Sharon L. Timme of Kent, Washington, Linda P. Eisenauer (Ike) of Gig Harbor, Washington, and Michele D. Lamey of Port Orchard, Washington; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.ááHe was preceded in death by daughter Carol A. Filce, and sisters Lucille Watson and Rosemary Moore.A Memorial Service will be Friday, April 21, 2000 at 2:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.ááIn lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Hospice of Kitsap County, American Cancer Society, and Diabetes Association.
