Kenneth Charles Schwartz

Kenneth C. Schwartz, age 80, of Port Orchard, Washington, passed away at home on February 16, 2023. Ken was the beloved husband of Jeri. They walked hand in hand through their 45 years together.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mabel; his wife, Jeri; his brother, Bob; and his daughter Suzanne Penny. He was survived by his children Dana Hildebrandt, Diana (Chad) Parker and Steven (Linda) Schwartz; grandchildren Christopher, Rachel, Blaine, Christian, Sabrina, Nathan, and Madeline and great grandchild Ava.

In his early life, Ken resided in St. Paul, Minnesota and he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1962. Ken served as a sailor in the United States Navy and then was a long time employee in the Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. Later, he started West Sound Safety Consulting and worked to ensure jobsite safety in the construction industry. As a handyman, he was often working on home projects and was more comfortable building a deck than sitting on one.
