Kevin Thomas

Kevin 'Packy' Thomas, 54, a resident of Port Orchard, died September 7, 2011 at St Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma after a three year battle with cancer. He was born in Bremerton on January 22, 1957 to Harold and Harriet (Lindemann) Thomas. He married Joan (Koropatnicki) in Walhalla, ND on May 26, 1979.  He graduated from South Kitsap HS in 1975 and from the Apprenticeship Program at PSNS in 1987 as a Pipefitter. He was employed there for 28 years as a Pipefitter, Plannerman and Engineering Tech. He enjoyed reading, running, music, camping and traveling with family.   He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Joan; sons Steven and Andy all of Port Orchard; brothers Jim Thomas (Debbie) of Twisp, Joel Thomas (Patty) of Port Orchard and Walter Thomas (Jane) of Fresno, CA; sisters Mary Rathke (Bill) of Allyn, Rose Roseland (Layton) and Mona Webb (Doug) both of Sonora, CA, Margaret Cimmino (Philip) of Wenatchee, Shannon Ruiz (Nery) of Yakima and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Callis.  Celebration of Life will be Friday, September 16th, 1:30 pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center, Port Orchard.
