Lacey Ashley Rose

October 9, 1996 — March 23, 2018

Lacey was loved and admired by many for her ability to light a room with her contagious smile and goofy sense of humor. Born in Bremerton, WA and raised in Port Orchard. Lacey lived a full life of adventure and achievements. She always took charge and made it her life no matter what it was she was doing. She loved school and had many friends that lived by her side in admiration. She was easy to love, easy-going, and was always willing to try new things. She played baseball, softball, took parts in school plays, became a junior high mentor, also mentored at diabetes camp, and excelled in school with ease. If she ever struggled with any academic goals she focused and stayed determined, successfully graduating South Kitsap high school with a college-bound scholarship.

She loved to travel with family and friends to places like Oahu Hawaii, Sun Lakes ID, Lake Cushman and Brown’s Creek WA swimming, hiking and exploring. Spending time with her family on holidays and Bon fires at David and Julz, and on the beach with her friends. One of her favorite memories was when she and Renea went to the Tulip Festival. She was so in awe at how beautiful the fields were, and watching the sun rise in Idaho. Her favorite vacation was Hawaii when she was twelve. Swimming in the South Pacific Ocean, attending Germaines Luau, going on the submarine underwater tour. Favorites, song: Emperor’s Clothes by Panic at the Disco, Frank Sinatra, and old jazz, flower: peonies, color: yellow and mint green, saying: “I know Dad”, Hobbies: She was very crafty enjoyed photography and making things.

Lacey wanted to become a Veterinarians Assistant because of her love for animals both domestic and wild. She found joy in her pets, Cali her dog and Nala, Shadow, and Stormy her cats.

Her first Tattoo was a diabetic tattoo so she wouldn’t have to wear one of the bracelets. In the last six months her Facebook group page #teamlacey has grown to 1626 members with 1357 active, and has generated over 12000 engagements and reactions from people from all over the world including Australia, Uganda, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, Guam, and all over the United States.
