Larry Wayne Lutton, 65, died at his home in Tahuya, WA on January 18, 2011. He was born October 11, 1945 in Santa Ana, CA to Warren & Marry (Cox) Lutton. He graduated from high school in Dryden, WA in 1964 and Southeast Community College in Lincoln, NE in 1978 with an Associate Degree in Welding. Larry worked as a Welder for 12 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 1991. He served as a Staff Sargent in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968 during the Vietnam War, earning numerous awards including Viet Nam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars. Larry enjoyed playing cards, watching TV, camping, being in the mountains, he really loved his 3 Chihuahuas, Lab, and his Collie. Surviving as companion Jan Lutton “Schoch”; sons Lonnie & Loren Lutton of Lincoln, NE; stepson Greg Burrows of AR; stepdaughters Tamara (Gary) Coutu of Lacey, WA and Annette (Al) Devitt of Bremerton; brothers Jim Whittaker of Kent, WA and Ron Lutton of E. Wenatchee, WA; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; special friends Glenn Frolley and Floyd Ayers. He was preceded in death by brother Don Lutton. Celebration of Life will be Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
