Larry Ray Warmbo was born in Bremerton, WA on November 28, 1943 to Vernon A. and Virginia E. (Banks) Warmbo. The family moved to Port Orchard where he was raised and attended South Kitsap Senior High School.
He served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Dixie (AD-14) and was honorably discharged after 3½ years of active duty. He worked in Puget Sound Naval Shipyard with the maintenance department for a brief time but was seriously injured in vehicular accident which left him unable to work for quite a while. He later worked in Bremerton as a barber.
Larry enjoyed camping trips on the Hama Hama River, picnics and birthday parties and his favorite color was blue. His absolute favorite thing to do though was going to car shows due to his love for old cars and muscle cars. More than anything, he was a home body who preferred just being a bit of a loner.
He passed away of natural causes on June 28, 2019 at his home in Port Orchard. He is survived by his siblings and their spouses; daughter Deborah, and son Kevin. He will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery. There are no services planned.
