LaVera H. Strickler, 99 of Port Orchard, Washington died February 10, 2008. She was born September 21, 1908 in Boise, Idaho to Ernest & Cora Lloyd. She married Chester "Ted" Strickler in Toppenish, Washington in 1927. He preceded her in death in 1984. LaVera was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, birds, fishing, camping, and card playing. She was a founding member of Dr. A.G. Allen Auxilliary since 1959 and was a Pythian Sister. Surviving are son Glenn "Casey" Strickler (Jane) of Sitka, Alaska; daughter Patricia"Sally" Bock (Jim) of Sacramento, California; sister Alberta Johnson of Centralia, Washington; grandchildren Jolene, Mike, Randy, Tony, Scott & Julie; great-grandchildren Tiffany, Denholm, Casey & Derek; and many nieces, nephews & friends. Visitation Friday, February 15th from 11:00am to 5:00pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Celebration of Life service at 10:00am on Saturday, February 16th, also at Rill's Life Tribute Center. Burial at Sedgwick Cemetery in Port Orchard following the service.
