Lavina ''Berniece'' Roberts, also known as ''Bea'', died on July 10, 2001 of Congestive Heart Failure, at the family residence in Allyn, Washington. She was 78 years old.Mrs. Roberts was born on October 19, 1922, in Vancouver, British Columbia, to Bernard Shreeve and Edith Abbott. On August 6, 1945 she married Larry Roberts in Seattle, Washington. The couple had seven children.Mrs. Roberts made her career as a Homemaker.She was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair, Washington, and the Catholic Childhood Association.Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Larry, of the family home; son, Steven Roberts of Poulsbo, Washington; son, John Roberts of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Mary Lou Beard of Tacoma, Washington; daughter, Kathie O'Brien of Seeley Lake, Montana; daughter, Patrice Dicasperro of Bellevue, Washington; daughter, Laurie Easton of Redmond, Washington; daughter, Carrie Epps of Sacramento, California; sister, Betty Lorella of Grayland, Washington; sister, June Scott of Kelowna, British Columbia; sister, Dorothy Raides of Wenatchee, Washington; sister, Norma Quaife of Topeka, Kansas; and eleven grandchildren.A Catholic Memorial Mass, in Mrs. Roberts honor, will be held on Monday, July 16, 2001, at 11:00 A.M., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair, Washington. Father Jerry McCloskey will officiate. Interment will follow at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair, Washington. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington.At the family's request, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kitsap Unit, Post Office Box 2382, Bremerton, Washington,98310.
