Leo Roy "Frenchy" LeBlanc of Bremerton, Washington died April 17, 2004 at his residence. He was 82. He was born March 9, 1922 in Delcambre, Louisana to Andr'e and Edith (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. He married Kathleen (Cotter) LeBlanc on March 6, 1949 in Boston, Massechusetts. Leo graduated from Lafayette High School in Lafayette, California in 1939. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 - July 1961; and, attained rank of Chief Gunners Mate. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran. Leo worked as a Guided Missile Systems Inspector at the Polaris Missile Facility at Bangor Naval Station and was an Electronic Inspector at Keyport. He retired in November of 1981. He was an avid fisherman; enjoyed cribbage, traveling and coin collector. He was known as the "Silver Dollar" Grandpa - always giving silver dollars to babies and seniors. Leo was survived by daughters - Jan Murphy of Tacoma, Lee LeBlanc (& spouse, Frank Youngs) of Silverdale, Noreen LeBlanc (& spouse, Ron Smith) of Bremerton; sisters - Anez Gerac of Lafayette, Louisiana, Nina Moore of Metairie, Louisiana; 5 grandchildren (Tamera Tompkins, Travis Tompkins, Brian Mowrey, Stacy Nicolet, Todd Smith) and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: brother - Anthony Guy LeBlanc, sisters - Bea LeBlanc and Martha Roddy.
