Leo Mykleburg

Leo Nestor Mykleburg, 81, of Port Orchard died August 20, 2011 of natural causes. He was born on August 5, 1930 in Seattle to Ivar and Annie (Olsen) Mykleburg. He graduated from Edison Technical HS in Seattle. After serving in the US Air Force for 4 years as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War he took courses at South Seattle Community College. He married Arlene Fay Bradley in 1963 and she preceded in death in 2004. He worked 16 years at Bethlehem Steel as a machinist. He also worked for Boeing on the nose sections of aircraft and Burlington Northern as a Flagman. He intermittently worked for Fantastic Rides as a carnie. He served as an usher and played the harmonica in several local churches. He loved singing and animals of all kinds, especially dogs and going to church. He is survived by four daughters Bernadene Dunbar (Ben), Mikki Mayfield, Vickey Tilson (Bob) and Karen Washington; son Will Wickens; brother Ivan Mykleburg; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 1:30 pm.
