Leon Nicks

Leon Harry Nicks was born March 17, 1918 and passed away on April 30, 2007. "Harry" was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin to Harry and Melvina Nicks. He was an avid and talented athlete in high school and college. He served in World War II and worked for 30 years for Oscar Mayer Foods in Madison, Wisconsin before retiring. He and his wife, Gerri, enjoyed many years together - traveling with friends and to both coasts to spend time with their children and grandchildren. His wife and eldest son preceded him in death. He is survived by three of his four children - Barbara (Greg) Rinehardt, Dan (Helen) Thompson, and Lynda (Louis) Smith, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service. Donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans or a charity of your choice.
