Leonard Beitel

Leonard C. Beitel died at his Port Orchard, Washington residence November 21, 2002. He was 70.He was born April 23, 1932 in Saline, Missouri to Daniel and Ruth (Osborn) Beitel.He married Berta (Schlipf) Beitel.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.Leonard was an iron worker for 35 years - retiring in 1990.He loved fishing, hunting, pool and cards, car tinkering. He also played the guitar, fixed watches and was a member of the Port Orchard Eagles.He is survived by daughter - Vicki Beitel of California; brothers - Marvin L. Beitel of Somerset, Kentucky and Earl Beitel of California. He was preceded in death by sisters - Betty Colburn and Thelma Slinger.Visitation will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington November 29, 2002 from 12:00 noon through 5:00 p.m.A graveside service will be held at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor, Washington on December 2, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.
