Leroy Shattun

LeRoy Samuel Shattun, 80, a resident of Bremerton, WA, went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2010. He was born December 14, 1929 in Kief, North Dakota to Samuel and Ida (Mock) Shattun. In 1953 he married Phyllis Phillips. They had a long and happy marriage until Phyllis’ death in 1997. He worked for many years at PSNS until retiring in July 1991. In 1999 he met Dianne Bayne and in December of that year they were married. LeRoy is survived by his wife Dianne; sisters Marion Leigh, Betty (Bill) Rhodes, Margie (Tom) Endsley, and Donna (Gene) Entz; daughter Vickie (Rocky) Trapp; sons Rick (Kim) Shattun, Tim (Maryanna) Shattun; stepsons Matthew (Shannon) Bayne, Joe (Gladys) Bayne; stepdaughters Christine Hauck and Kim (Isaac) Lopez. LeRoy had 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was a kind and generous man who always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. There will be a memorial service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2509 Perry Avenue, Bremerton, at 2:00 PM, Saturday November 6th.
