Lester Michael Iott

Lester Michael Iott was born on July 25, 1939 to Lester B. Iott and Una Iott in Adrian, Michigan. He served in the Navy from 1958 – 1968. While stationed in Hawaii, he met his wife, Georgiana Guerzon. They were married on August 16, 1964.

Lester moved his family to the Pacific Northwest in 1977. He retired from Puget Sound Naval Supply Center in 1993. He loved to “tinker” around his house, always working on projects in the garden and home. He was a wonderful, patient teacher who taught his children and grandchildren the love of the outdoors, hard work, baking cookies and gingerbread houses, and so much more. He enjoyed watching birds and his favorite sports teams: Mariners, Seahawks, and the Detroit Lions.

He was preceded in death by his wife in December of 2007. He is survived by his children Michael Iott, Michelle Moss (Ron Moss), Mitchell Iott (Reality Iott), Melissa King (Bryan King), stepson Reginald Ortiz (Joyce Ortiz), 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his brother Ted Iott (Joyce Iott), sister Angela McVay (John McVay), and his companion Merlita Reyes.
