Lewis Francis Napolitana died July 11, 2002 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 95.He was born February 25, 1907 in Logans Port, Indiana to Pellgrino and Mary (Asenda) Napolitano.He attended Kokomo High School in Kokomo, Indiana. Lewis married Mary Hoskin October 7, 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy for nearly 21 years from 1927 to 1947. His rank was CPO; and, he served in the Asiatic Pacific area with 5 Battle Stars, Philipine Liberation Medals with 2 Bronze Stars.He also worked in the Supply Department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 20 years and retired in 1965.He was associated with VFW 269, American Legion in Bremerton, Washington, Port Orchard Eagles and Sons of Norway. He was an avid dancer and enjoyed salmon and trout fishing. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.He is survived by his son Roy (and Bea) DeBoer of Port Orchard, Washington, a special niece Phyllis Clark of Kokomo, Indiana, and an uncle, Frank Beatrice, of Kokomo, Indiana, 3 grandchildren (Nicole Miller, Eric DeBoer, David DeBoer), 5 great-grandchildren (Delvan Miller, Alena Miller, Brent Miller, Jullianna Miller, Ericka DeBoer). He was preceded in death by brothers Joe and Tony Napolitano, 2 sisters, Martha Napolitano and Mary Delslager.Visitation will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington Tuesday July 16, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Rosary will be held at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church July 17, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Service will be held at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church July 17, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Miler-Woodlawn Cemetery July 17, 2002 at 1:30 p.m.
