In 1967, Lil and sister Pat, co-coached one of South Kitsap first soccer teams. She enjoyed family tremendously, her beautiful home and view of Puget Sound, landscaped yard with a variety of flowers, maintained by Herb and sons John and Jim.
The Bishop household was the place to be for Christmas dinners, birthday parties and family gatherings. Fourth of July meant picnics and climbing to the roof of the three story house to obtain the perfect view of Fourth of July fireworks, over the bay.
Lil was a firm believer in God and was a member of the Catholic Church. Her husband Herb was a faithful, dutiful husband to Lil, tending to all her needs as best he could.
She was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football! The day before she passed, family members will forever cherish seeing her sing Notre Dame’s “fight” song with great animation. She was also an avid Hydroplane fan, often attending the Sea-Fair races on Lake Washington. Her “best friend” Annie (A Shih-Tzu) was also of great joy to her. Annie is no doubt missing her presence as well.
Lillian is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and one close Aunt, Pat Harms.
Mass will be held on Friday, January 9 at 11:00 AM at St Gabriel’s Catholic Church.
She was loved and treasured by her family. Christmas and Fourth of July will never be the same without her. An on line memorial can be accessed at
