Lillian McLarry or as most people knew her “Grandma”, died August 2, 2012 at her granddaughter’s home in Port Orchard. “Grandma” was born Lillian Haddock May 17, 1915 in Vancouver BC to William & Gertrude (Hall) Haddock. As a youth she excelled in both field hockey and basketball playing on championship club teams and in her later years used that same competitive spirit to become a champion shuffle board player. Lillian taught first graders for 23 years in Montesano & University Place retiring in 1978. She volunteered her time with the Children’s Hospital Guild and loved any type of travel. She could be found spending time in Hawaii or just jumping in the car with friends and heading for the coast. She was “Grandma” to everyone whether at Spiro’s or watching a swim meet. She loved giving away her chocolate chip cookies and gifting for her Cinnamon Rolls. Grandma is survived by her daughter Gail Hashagen of Sammamish, a brother William Haddock of Vancouver BC, 5 grandchildren – Michelle, Bill (Kathy) & Wendy Lougheed and Ryan & Troy Hashagen; 3 Great Grandchildren – Zach, James & Erik and a son-in-law Mike Lougheed. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Harper Evangelical Free Church in Port Orchard. Reception following at 2:30pm at Spiro's Pizza & Pasta in Port Orchard. Burial will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Children's Hospital.
