Lillian Veronica Winkley. Born May 5, 1926, died October 3, 2004 in Port Orchard. Daughter of Harry and Lillian Winkley, long-time residents of Port Orchard. Lynne was a graduate of Bremerton High School, attended training in the Army Nurse Corps during WWII before returning home to help with a family illness. She then worked in the Naval Yard as a Ship-Builder's helper where she met her husband Carl Jesch. Lynne was very active with her children in scouting, and received the Marian Award and the St. Anne Award through the Girl Scout. After raising their 9 children, Lynne went back to school earning a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She moved back to Port Orchard in 1983 to be with her sister who had cancer. Lynne worked for several years as a Program Evaluator for the Kitsap County Area Agency of Aging retiring in 1996. She was instrumental in beginning the Family Kitchen project through local churches, was active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Lynn is survived by all her children; Nick Jesch, Katherine Jesch, Mary Bernardoni, Kevin Jesch, Tim Jesch, Michael Jesch, Philip Jesch, David Jesch, and Nora Jesch. Eleven grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Our special thanks go to her niece, Peggy Nunley and her husband Larry for being with her when we could not. Funeral Mass to be held Monday, October 11th at 11 am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with interment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
