Lillian M Youngs

Lillian Youngs, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Silverdale on Sunday March 26, 2017. She was born Dec. 15, 1924 in Port Gamble, WA, the last of 5 children to Alfred and Jeanne Jodry. She grew up in North Kitsap and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1942. Lillian married Alton Youngs in 1943; they were married 65 years and had 3 children. Lillian worked at the Silverdale Variety Store and was a cook at Silverdale Elementary School, and then she worked 25 years for Silverdale State Bank, where she retired. Then she and Alton became snowbirds and spent winters touring Arizona’s trapshooting communities. That’s where she developed her love for golf. Lillian’s hobbies included gardening, quilting, bowling and golf. Her family and friends meant everything to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. Lillian was endearing, quick witted, with a sharp sense of humor which made her fun to be around. She was kind, positive, polite, and loving, she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children Jeannette Longstreth (Robert) of Bellingham, Dana Sinclair and Frank Youngs (Lee LeBlanc) of Silverdale, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. No services are planned.
