Linda Sperber

August 28, 1939 — May 30, 2010

Linda Sperber suddenly passed Sunday, May 30, 2010, at young age of 70. She kept herself very healthy but had unexpected pulmonary embolism complications from recent simple knee surgery.   She has been a proud resident of Port Orchard since 1974 and has been happily married to John Sperber, the love of her life, since 1960. She also left behind her daughter Kimberly Sperber-Trupiano and her two grandchildren, August and Sierra and a large circle of family and friends who all miss her terribly.   She had graduated with a secretary diploma after HS in Minoa, upstate NY, and was a strong Navy wife and mother. Linda worked as a devoted teacher's aid in Port Orchard with special ed kids from 1976 for 25 years, retiring in 2001. She did fundraising for the Am Cancer Society, MS, and other causes. Linda was an active member of the Red Hats (Queen of Victorian Roses RH Society), Olympic Gym, First Lutheran Church, and her community. She enjoyed traveling and camping with John, reading novels, doing needlepoint & knitting, her cats, and Loving.   Linda is the best wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, teacher, and neighbor a person could have. Any donations as a tribute to her can be made to the Am Cancer Society or the Humane Society. CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE RECEPTION WILL TAKE PLACE AT RILL CHAPEL HOSPITALITY ROOM, PORT ORCHARD, FRI, JUNE 4, 2010, 9:30am TO 12:00 Noon.
