Loving Husband, Father and GrandfatherLloyd Hovermale, 80 of Port Orchard died in his home June 5, 2002. Lloyd was born September 10, 1921 to Melvin and Lula (Davis) Hovermale in Eden, Idaho. He served in the Army from 1942 through 1945. Lloyd was a World War II Veteran. He was married August 9, 1948, to Delores Marie Ecklund. Moved to California where he worked for Yellow Freight for 20 years and was a member of the Teamster Union. Lloyd and Delores raised six children in San Dimas, California. After he retired in 1981 they moved to Washington to spend time with family and friends.Survivors include four sons Carl of Marlin, WA; Steve, Melvin and Dale of Port Orchard, WA; and daughter, Sandy Lovik of Sekiu, WA; a brother Roy of Oregon; and two sisters Eugenia and Shairl both in Moses Lake, WA. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Hovermale of San Dimas, CA; and two brothers Ralph of Moses Lake, WA; and Alvin of Eden, Idaho.
