Lloyd Neilsen

Lloyd Arthur Neilsen, 73, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on September 6, 1999.  He was born in Fessenden, North Dakota on October 7, 1925 to Arthur R. & Caroline (Lloyd) Neilsen.  Lloyd was raised in Fessenden graduating from Fessenden High School in 1943.  He married Wanda 'June' Cox on June 6, 1998 in Bremerton, Washington.Mr. Neilsen joined the U. S. Navy in 1943 and retired in 1970 as a Chief Torpedoman.  He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Fleet Reserve Association, and Peninsula Fruit Club.Surviving are his wife; sons Keith of Lakewood, Washington and Lynn of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter Roxie Sotak of Bremerton, Washington; sisters Juanita Neumiller of Enderlin, North Dakota, Mary Thon of Harvey, North Dakota, and Margie Krahler of Fessenden, North Dakota; grandchildren Scott, Matt, Tony of Bremerton and John of USS Carl Vinson; and great-grandson Ben.Memorial Service September 12, 1999 at 2:00 PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.  Donations may be made to American Heart Association, 4414 Woodland Park Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103.
