Lois Marie Connick passed away at home on September 12, 2018. Lois was born January 19, 1936 in Gainesville, Texas to Charlie and Luna Mae Trammell. When Lois was 11 years old the Trammell family moved to California.

Lois attended the Midway school in Fellows and then graduated from Taft Union High School in 1954. That same year she married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Leroy Connick. They were married 62 years when Ray passed away in March of 2017.

As a young man Ray went to work for Southern California Gas Company and he and Lois moved their family to Saugus, California in 1962 where they raised their family. During her term as president a child was killed walking to school and Lois went to work and didn’t stop until she had new sidewalks and crosswalks installed.

Lois went to work for Donalco and commuted for many years from Saugus to Los Angeles. In 1985 Ray was transferred to Santa Barbara where Lois worked as a property manager. They lived in Santa Barbara until Ray and Lois retired to Lake Bay, Washington in 1993. During this time Lois and Ray traveled many places including a trip to England and Ireland.
