Lois Marie Grevstad of Bremerton passed away at the age of 73, on July 21, 2012 at Orchard Pointe Memory Care Community in Port Orchard, Washington. Lois married John K. Grevstad on June 28, 1975. They resided in Olalla until 1983. They moved to Manchester and lived there until 2006 when they moved to Bremerton. She worked at PSNS as a secretary to the Apprentice Program Administrator. Lois made a difference in the community. She was instrumental in the building of the Manchester Library Extension and volunteered there and at the annual Father’s Day Salmon Bake. She loved nutritional cooking, gardening, reading and traveling. She visited many places including Russia, China, Japan, Europe, Alaska, the Caribbean and the Arctic Circle. Lois taught a class at TCC called “Fortune in Fixers”. The class focused on flipping houses to earn retirement income, it was all about location, location, location for reselling purposes. Throughout the last few years she loved to take rides with her husband listening to music of different genres, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson and Classical Music. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, John K. Grevstad; sister Jean Hansen, brother Clarence Mathews (Karin); four children Christina L. Cavara (Gary), Eric R. Jensen (Connie), Pauline L. Jensen, Karl F. Jensen (Alesia); three step-children, Maryellen C. Grevstad, Janet L. Waller (Ivan) and Olejohn K. Grevstad (Kathy), 6 grandchildren Kamron Jensen, Brandon (Mari) Grevstad, Kristelle Grevstad, Tanya Waller, Jessica Waller and Steven Jonasson and 3 great-grandchildren, Jillian Grevstad, Brandon Grevstad and DakotaRaye Puckett. She was preceded in death by step-son James S. Miller. Graveside Ceremony will be at Fraola Cemetery, 6456 SE Mullenix Rd, Port Orchard, WA 98367 on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:30 am. A potluck reception will follow the committal at the Olalla Grange #1125, 7554 Fragaria Rd, Olalla, WA.
