Lois A. (Vandeberg) Luke, 71, a resident of Manchester, died on June 15th at The Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, WA of lung cancer. She was born in Williston, ND to Michael and Margaret (Mott) Kellar. She attended Williston High School and graduated from there in 1953. Lois married George R. Luke Feb 25, 1982 in Hawaii. He preceded her in death Aug 25, 1990. Lois worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Government beginning in 1977 at the Dept. of Commerce in Seattle. She later transferred to Keyport Naval Torpedo Station and finally to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from where she retired in 1995. Lois enjoyed reading and gardening at her lake front home. She is survived by her son Greg Vandeberg (Kristy) of Port Orchard; Daughters Kari Tinsley (Jim) of Federal Way, Paula Trunzo (Roger) of Tacoma and Jan Wall-Sennert (Dennis) of Edgewood, WA; brother Derold Wertz (Paulette) of St. George, UT; sisters Donna Hattey of Independence, MO, Irene Mueller (Gordie) of Whidby Island, WA and Bev Solberg of Salvage, MN; six grandchildren Jeff, Jamie, Jennifer, Michelle, Justin and Rachael; and four great-grandchildren Emily, Michael, Dylan and Jonathen. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. on June 22, 2007 at Rill's Tribute Center in Port Orchard, WA. Interment will be 2:00pm at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, WA following the service.
