Lola M. Silas of Bremerton, Washington died in Bremerton October 28, 2005. She was 73. She was born June 17, 1932 in Olympia, Washington to Chester Ford and Bertha (Bridges) McCready. Lola married Stanley Silas in Bremerton, Washington in 1953. He died in 1986. She graduated from Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Washington in 1951. Lola worked as a clerk with the Kitsap County Treasurer for 15 years. She also worked as a teller at several banks locally. Lola was a member of the Christian Life Center (various ministry interests) for the past 40 years. She was a devoted grandmother to Amy, supporting her in all of her activities and interests; and, loved her cats, playing "Rook" and other card games; time with family and friends. She is survived by daughter - Susan (Silas) Stadshaug (Mark) of Bremerton, Washington; sister - Marjorie Pilotte of Bremerton, Washington; 1 granddaughter - Marjorie Pilotte of Bremerton, Washington; nephews - Jim (Cecilia) McCready, Len (TJ) McCready; nieces - Donna Alexander of Stanwood, Washington, Julie Hester - of Sunnyslope, Washington, Jackie Baker of Bremerton, Washington. Visitation is Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 9:00am to Noon at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. A memorial service will be held at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard, Washington (Mitchell Avenue at Lincoln) on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard, Washington.
