Loretta (Moilanen) Stallings, 75, peacefully passed away September 4, 2010 in Seattle after a long battle with lung disease. She was born to Eric and Myrtle (Mikelsen) Moilanen in Bremerton, Wa. on March 25,1935 and raised in West Seattle. She married Burlie Kenneth Stallings on April 20, 1968. Loretta graduated from West Seattle HS and attended the University of Washington. She was a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker. Family meant everything to her. She was active in the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital Guild and also volunteered at the children’s schools for many years. Loretta was a very talented artist who enjoyed toll painting and crafts, even teaching toll painting classes. She is survived by her loving husband, Burlie Kenneth Stallings of Seattle; sons Jeff Dean, Steve Stallings (Jo), Greg Stallings, and Duane Stallings (Sherrie); daughters Diane Dean and Teri Stallings-Scott; sister Laurine Homestead of Burien; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life is at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Monday, September 13th at 1:00 PM.
