Lorraine E. Prentice, 89, of Port Orchard, died peacefully at home on April 30, 2003. She was born April 1, 1914, in Seattle, WA, to Alfred and Estelle Gfeller. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1933. After working in Seattle for 17 years, she met her late husband, Arthur Prentice and moved to the Wenatchee, WA, area in 1950, where they resided until 1997. Lorraine spent her life as a supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her passions included family and friends, ocean beaches, laughing at jokes and a trip to the beauty salon every week for 50 years. Survivors include one son, Frank Prentice and wife Deb, of Port Orchard, WA; grandchildren Jeff Prentice, of Olympia, WA, Brett Prentice and wife Jennette, of Valdosta, GA, Heather and Aaron Taylor, Amy Wolter, Jeff Crozier, all of Port Orchard, and Sean and Kerri Scott, of Bothell, WA; and two great grandchildren Kayleigh Taylor and Caleb Scott. She was preceded in death by one brother, Alfred M. Gfeller of Seattle, WA. Lorraine will be greatly missed and remembered by all as a kind, loving and compassionate person. Services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2003, 1:00 p.m., at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. Please meet at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center at 12:30 p.m. to process to Sunset Lane.
