Lou (Good) Lovelace

April 18, 1930 — September 19, 2024

Lou Good Lovelace passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on September 19, 2024 at her daughter and son-in-law‘s home in Port Orchard Washington.

She was born April 18, 1930 to Ron and Mary Good (nee Acocello) of Fir Island, Washington, where she lived with her two brothers Pat and Mike on the family farm until she graduated Mount Vernon High School at 16 years old and enrolled in nurses training at Seattle University Providence Hospital in Seattle, Washington. On September 25, 1949, she married her childhood sweetheart Art Lovelace and together they started their family in Mount Vernon until they moved themselves and their five children to Bellevue Washington in 1964.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Lovelace Sjogren in 2016. She is survived by his widow Colleen Sjogren of Yakima, Washington and Lou’s remaining four children, Kathleen Bacon and husband Ken of Fort Mojave, Arizona; James Lovelace and wife Kimberly of Newcastle, Washington; Jana Balliet of Mount Vernon, Washington; and Tracy Euteneier and husband Richard of Port Orchard, Washington. She was “Nana Lou” to her loving grandchildren Khara Girardin (Conner), Ryan Sjogren, Harmony Lovelace, Devin Bacon (Kristin), Sarah Conarroe (Tyler) and her great- grandchildren Bernie Orosz, Lera Orosz, Bronson Connaroe, Ryder Sjogren, Danny Girardin, Joey Girardin, Jonny Girardin. Also, Melanie, Jeff, Alayna, as well as many nieces & nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Lou lived a long and active life that was wide and varied, from early 4H Club to her Grange membership as a young woman, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a lifetime member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority, a philanthropic organization raising money for cancer research. She had a heart of gold, a smile for everyone and was loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. She enjoyed traveling the country and parts of the world with friends and family, but she always believed “there’s no place like home”.
