Louise Anne Ness (Gehring) was born to Edward and Floy (Root) Gehring in Waseca, MN. At the age of eight she moved with her family to Montana, where she stayed until marrying Ray Ness in 1943. Shortly after their wedding they moved to Port Orchard, WA.
