Lucille Xenia Eaves Amburn, age 93, of Port Orchard, Washington, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep of natural causes on December 28, 2014. Lucille was born on September 23, 1921 in Galveston, Texas to Haston T. and Xenia Mary Eaves. Lucille was the 5th child of 6 children. She married George Amburn in 1942.
Lucille was a long-time resident of Bountiful, Utah and parishioner of St. Olaf Catholic Church where she and George made many dear friends.
In 1996 Lucille moved to Washington state where she spent many happy years.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Amburn, and grandchildren, Michelle Marie Amburn Duncan and Theodore Matthew Amburn. She is survived by her 4 children, George (Maria), Robert (Darcy), Larry (Barbara) and Marie (John), 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and her sister, Mildred Carter.
Lucille lived a long, full life, was an avid gardener and bridge player, and we are sure she is thrilled to finally be with George again after being apart for almost 20 years. We will miss her deeply.
Masses will be held at St. Gabriel’s in Port Orchard at 2:00 p.m. on January 9, 2015 and at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Bountiful, Utah at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015. The family will hold a grave site service this summer in Bountiful, Utah.
