Luna Mae Trammell, 90, of Port Orchard, WA, died July 6, 2009 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA. Luna was born October 30, 1918 in Texas to Deloscus and Lunar (Taylor) Rogers. She spent over 60 years in the Taft, CA area. Luna enjoyed crocheting and made blankets for CASA. She loved her hamburger, fries, and a diet Coke and biscuits and gravy became known as “Grannies breakfast.” Her faith, grandchildren, and family were very important to her and she was very active in the Missionary Baptist Church in California and Washington. Luna was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Joseph Trammell, 6 brothers and sisters, and a granddaughter Laurie Lynnette Moore. She is survived by 4 daughters, Lois (Ray) Connick, Charlene (Roger) Phillips, Brenda (Jim) Rose, and Joyce (Jeff) Harlan; a brother D.L. Rogers; a sister Lorraine Darrah; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home in Taft, CA. A committal service will be on Friday, July 10, at 10:15AM at the Taft Westside Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM at Erickson and Brown Funeral Home.
