Lyle Worden

Lyle M. Worden, 83, of Port Orchard, WA, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2009, while surrounded by family. He was born November 20, 1925 in Culver City, California to Ralph and Theresa Worden. He was one of ten children. Lyle Worden married Ida Mae Dodd on December 26, 1970. Together they had a blended family of seven children. Lyle proudly served in the US NAVY and achieved the rank of Chief. After retiring, he went on to retire from PSNS as a pipefitter in Shop 56. Lyle was many things to many people. He was happiest remodeling his rental homes. Lyle was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Ida Mae. He is survived by son, Dennis Worden; daughter, Geneva Flolo (Ron); son, Daniel Worden (Janice); son, Donald Worden (Linda); daughter, Chyrel Pennington (Carl); and daughter, Donna Williams (Keith); 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 foster children, Robert Clauson and Genette Bales; his sisters, Shirley McCormick (Bob) and Vera Oyer and brother Rev. Raymond Worden. Viewing will be Tuesday at 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard. Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 2308 Sidney Rd, Port Orchard, Wednesday September 2nd, at 11:00 am followed by graveside services at Sunset Lane.
