Mabel Marie Bigby of Bremerton, Washington died July 24, 2004 in Port Orchard, Washington due to heart failure. She was 79. She was born April 6, 1925 in Maumee, Arkansas to James ande Lura (Goatley) Quigley. Mabel married Walter E. Bigby, Sr. January 7, 1946 in Reno, Nevada. She worked 40 plus years as a beautician. Mabel enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, reading, watching the Mariners. She is survived by sons - Walter E. Bigby, Jr. of Port Orchard, Washington, Max Bigby of Bothell, Washington; daughters - Jennifer Baker of Everett, Washington, Lura Davey of Beatrice, Nebraska, Sharon Bigby of Bothell, Washington; brother - David Quigley of Midland, Oregon; sisters - Opal Quigley of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Artie Southern of Wilderville, Oregon, Kathryn Moore of Tulelake, California, Mary Ruth Watkins of Palouse, Washington, Lucille Pratt of Harrison, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren (Ryan, Scott, Craig, Danielle, Shana, Trista, Diane); 2 great grandchildren (Michael and Aiden) . . . Baby Paxton on the way. A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center on Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Zillah, Washington.
