Madeline Blankenbiller

Madeline Blankenbiller, 88 of Bremerton, died June 8, 1999.  She was born on March 12, 1911 in Oakland, California.  Madeline married Wayne Blankenbiller on January 11, 1930 and moved to the Lake Flora area of Port Orchard in October 1932 where they resided until retirement in 1979.Madeline and her husband developed Blankenbillers Leghorn Farm and Hatchery from which they serviced many of the grocery stores in the South Kitsap and North Pierce County areas.  They were active in grange and poultry associations, and also in the Kitsap County County Fair Association.  Madeline was a member of Business and Professional Women, the Grange, Bremerton Elks #1181, and St. Gabriel & Holy Trinity Catholic Churches.  After retirement, they lived in Gig Harbor for 10 years until Waynes death in 1989, at which time Madeline moved to 'The Willows' in Bremerton.Surviving are one daughter and two grandsons. There will be no services at her request.  Contributions may be made to the Jennie Miller Orthopedic Guild in Port Orchard.
