Margaret I. Ortman, 91 of Port Orchard, Washington died on December 6, 2005. She was born on February 10, 1914 in Lansford, North Dakota to Edward & Anne (Johnson) Iverson. She graduated from Blaine Consolidated High School in Lansford in 1932 and Minot State Teachers College in Minot, North Dakota in 1934. She married Roy Ortman in Sindey, Montana on March 27, 1947. Margaret worked as a teacher in rural North Dakota, east Port Orchard, and Montana for eight years. She was a member of Port Orchard Christian Missionary Alliance church. Surviving are nephews Maynard and Gary Iverson, both of Arizona, and John Iverson of Texas; nieces Carol Jean McIntyre and Kathleen Woodard, both of Arizona, and Sharon Krause of Washington. She was preceded in death by brothers Irvey, Marvin, and Bert Iverson, and sister Edith McClure. Visitation will be at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Thursday, December 8th from Noon to 5:00 pm and Friday, December 9th from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Graveside service will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard on December 9, 2005 at 10:30 am.
