Margaret Prudden

Margaret "Peggy" Prudden died March 22, 2003 at Ridgemont Terrace Nursing Home in Port Orchard, Washington. She was 77.She was born in Pasadena, California March 7, 1926 to Orlo and Helen (Fellows) Maule.Peggy graduated from Occidental College in California in 1947. She attended Catholic University in Washington, D.C. for Graduate Study in Library Science.Peggy married Terry Prudden April 6, 1950 in Honolulu, Hawaii.She was employed as a Reference Librarian in Montgomery County (Maryland) from October 1972 - May 1994. She retired in May of 1994.She was appointed to the Depository Library Council to the Public Printer (1985).Peggy is survived by sons - George Prudden and William Prudden of Gig Harbor, Washington; daughter - Tracy Prudden of Port Orchard, Washington; sister - Mary Riley of Sierra Madre, California; and, 4 grandchildren.A memorial will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2003, 1:00PM, at the Torpedo Warehouse at Manchester State Park.
