Margie Posey

Margie Ann Posey "Granny" died of a heart condition October 18, 2002 at her Port Orchard, Washington residence (with the comfort of her family). She was 65.She was born to Ray and Mary (Wetherell) Theroux in Port Orchard, Washington November 6, 1936.She attended South Kitsap High School of Port Orchard, Washington.June 27, 1953 she married Alvin Posey in Port Orchard, Washington.She worked as a matron and cook for Kitsap County Youth Service Center and retired from Juvenile Home in 1992. She also worked at South Kitsap Scool District as a cook.Margie attended Capri Exercise Program, enjoyed Bingo casinos, camping, following kids and grandkids' sporting events and activities, and traveling with her best friend and lover of 49 years.She was a member of Bethany Luthern Church.She is survived by her husband Alvin Posey; sons - Dennis (and wife, Debbie) and Danny (and wife, Kathy) all of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Debbie Kelly (and husband, Bill) of Port Orchard, Washington; sisters - Fran Scribner of Port Orchard, Washington and Josephine Bradley of Bremerton, Washington; and, 9 grandchildren: Jamie Kelly, Denise, Aaron and Jennifer Posey, Patrick Kelly, Darren Posey, Brandon Kelly, Marisa Kelly and Ryan Posey. She was preceded in death by her sister - Viola Hicks.A visitation will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington on Wednesday, October 23, 2002 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Funeral services will be held at Rill Chapel on Thursday, October 24, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery, also of Port Orchard, Washington.Memorial donations may be made to:Bethany Lutheran Church151 Tremont St. W.Port Orchard, WA. 98366
