Margot I. Sokytis died peacefully on Nov. 30th surrounded by her loving family. She was born 1 of 13 children to Alfred & Johanna Plesse in Dresden Germany on Feb. 10, 1923. Margot spent time at a Nazi concentration camp farm leading up to WW II and she moved to West Germany where she met her husband Albert in Mannheim who was in the Army. They married & moved to the US in 1959 & she became a citizen in 1960. They traveled around the country until Albert retired which brought them back to his home in Bremerton. They moved to Port Orchard in 1963. She lived at Ridgemont Terrace & was cared for by the loving staff since 2002. She enjoyed playing cards & bingo with “the girls” and shopping. Margot is preceded in death by her husband, parents and most of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Vera Simon, brother Wolfgang Plesse, & niece Monika Weiss, all of Germany. Although Margot never had children, she was the mother to and survived by Becky & Kenneth Blinn, Shirley Dufresne & Frank Thompson, Gloria & Keith Mellon and many dear friends. We loved her & will miss her terribly. Services at Bethany Lutheran Pt.Orchard Saturday at 2PM.
