Marguerite E. Ludwig, age 80, died Feb. 10, 2000 in Port Orchard, WA. She was born April 30, 1919 in Hampton, NE to William and Margaret (Bindewald) Troester where she was raised. She graduated from Aurora High School in Aurora, NE, the Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing in Lincoln, NE, Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE with a Masters of Social Work. She was a lietuenant in the U.S. Army Nursing Corps. She served in World War II from 1944 until 1946. She married William J. Ludwig in Seattle, WA., on August 5, 1961. In the past she worked at Family Counseling Services in Seattle, WA., and for the State of Washington as a social worker at the mental health services in Bremerton, WA. Most recently she worked in private practice as a social worker in Bremerton before retiring in 1995. She was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Bremerton, WA., and the Valparaiso Alumni Association. She is survived by her husband William Ludwig of Bremerton, WA., brother Paul Troester of Hampton Nebraska, sisters Louella Otto in Bellevue, WA., Willa Dee Thoen of Bellevue, WA., and numerous nieces and nephews.
