Maria C. “Tading” Baza, 77 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on July 5, 2011. She was born May 12, 1934 in Guam to Manuel Meno & Anna (Torres) Camacho. She graduated from the University of Guam with a BA in Education. Maria married Roke Pablo Baza on August 16, 1958. Maria retired after 25 years as a Teacher in Guam. She loved to cook and treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her dog “Rusty”. She was very devoted to her church and prayed every single day. She was a huge Mariner fan and enjoyed going to the Casino. She was a member of Guam Club and St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Surviving are husband Roke; sons Roy (Merl) of Fairfield, CA, Roland (Eloise) of Dededo, Guam, John (Chris) of Port Orchard, Vincent (Michelle) of Bremerton & Robert of Fairfield, CA; daughters Therese (Brian) Tainatongo of Tacoma & Zina (Tony) Parmar of Seattle; brother Juan (Margaret) Camacho of Vacaville, CA; sisters Felicita Guerrero of Mangilao, Guam, Bernadita (Victor) Borja of Oxnard, CA, Julita (Harold) Newman of San Diego, CA, Anna (Joseph) Delos Santos of Port Orchard & Barcy (Ben) Leon Guerrero of Tacoma; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and extended family Tiffany Guerrero and Charlie, Florence & Carmelita Rosalin, and Anjelo Pangelinan. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jose & Manuel Camacho, grandson Joshua Baza, and brother-in-law Jose Guerrero. Viewing on Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 9am to Noon followed by a Rosary at Noon at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 pm at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, also in Port Orchard.
