Maria A. Cardines, 86 of Port Orchard, died at Valley Medical Center in Renton on August 17, 2015. She was born in Barugo, Leyte, Philippines on December 12, 1928 to Julio and Manuela (Adizas) Cardines.
Maria survived the World War II occupation of the Philippine Islands. She enjoyed family gatherings, birthdays, and wanted to live to be 120 years. She liked going to casinos and also sewed. She especially appreciated spending time with her siblings in the Philippines and listening to Filipino Music.
Maria tried to help her children have a good life.
Blessing and reception 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Graveside Service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
