Marian, 60 years old, passed away January 29, 2009 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was adopted at three days old by Donald & Georgie Gray of Central City, Nebraska. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Central City High in 1966. She moved to Alameda, California in the early 70's. In 1994 she moved to Vallejo, California where she married Nelson. In 1997 they moved to Port Orchard, Washington with their jobs. Marian worked for Annapolis Water District from 1998-2006 when she retired to enjoy life with her husband. Marian is survived by her stepsons ED & Tony, daughters-in-law Dawn & Nikki, and four wonderful grandchildren Jacob, Damien, Cheyanne & Steven, whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by her cousin Penney Kelley of Omaha, Nebraska, her two closest friends John & Carla Owens of Alameda, California whom she enjoyed many memorable trips to Pyramid Lake, Nevada. She is also survived by two cousins from the Seattle area. In life she loved all animals. Her motto was "Fins, furs or feathers." She enjoyed her crafts, camping & traveling in the R.V. with their dog "Blue"'. She always told her husband "Take the high road." A celebration of life will be held on February 7, 2009 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm, at her Port Orchard home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. Marian will be cremated and make her final voyage, of her choice, in a bio-degradable urn on the waters of Pyramid Lake Nevada with friends and family by her side.
