Marie Degarimore

Marie G. Degarimore, age 87, died Sept. 3, 2000 in Silverdale, WA. She was born July 8, 2000 in Port Orchard, WA., to Carl and Hulda (Carlson) Bjorling. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, WA., and from business school in Seattle, WA. Mrs. Degarimore married Ora J. Degarimore in Bremerton, WA., on Dec. 27, 1939. She worked as a bookkeeper for Hayward Insurance until the mid 1940's. She and her husband owned ''Kitsap Sports'' and she worked as the treasurer/accountant until retiring 1997. Mrs. Degarimore was a member of the Sons of Norway, Ladies Division of Kitsap Golf and Country Club, and the Tracyton United Methodist Church.She is survived by her son John Degarimore of Bremerton, WA., stepson James Degarimore of Ocean Shores, WA., stepdaughters Lousie Thomas of Topeka, KS., Dorothy Foreman of Custer, S.D., brother Bert Bjorling of Oak Harbor, WA., 5 grandchidren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Ora in 1995, brother Carl Bjorling, sister Anne Johnson. Visitation will be at Rill Chapel Sept. 6, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Memorial services will be at Sons of Norway in Bremerton, WA.
