Marilyn Lee Harris

Marilyn Lee Harris was born in Bremerton Washington on November 4th, 1939 to Delmar and Florence Herreid. She Graduated from Bremerton High School in 1958. She graduated from the Tacoma General Hospital school of nursing in 1960. She was a registered nurse for 35 years and then worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company before retiring to Western New York to live the life of dairy farming. After 5 years she moved back to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Belfair Washington.

She was preceded in death by her son Randy Dengler, her stepfather Francis Gaskill, her mother Florence Gaskill, her father Delmar Herreid, and stepbrother Rodney Gaskill. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Thorene, stepbrother Frank Gaskill, daughters Deborah Godek, Rebecca Bergemann, and Rachel Sparling, and six grandchildren. She was active in the South Kitsap Junior Women’s Club and had a strong Christian faith attending Messiah Lutheran Church in Bremerton and Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church at 151 Tremont St, Port Orchard on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Bethany Lutheran School in Marilyn’s name.
