Mario Cabanes

Mario J. Cabanes died at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington December 10, 2002 of respiratory failure. He was 85.He was born March 9, 1917 in the Philippines to Emilia (Jacinto) and Conrado Cabanes.He married Lydia (Tingzon) Cabanes July 2, 1942 in Manilla Philippines.He graduated from high school in 1938 and attended 2 years at the Far Eastern University until 1941 - in the Philippines.Mario worked as a business accountant for 30 years - retiring in 1980.He enjoyed basketball.Mario was a member of the Catholic Church.He is survived by his wife Lydia (Tingzon) Cabanes; sons - Enrique Cabanes of Port Orchard, Washington, Conrado Cabanes of West Hills, California; daughter - Marides Sevilla of Millbrae, California; sisters - Sylvia Gozun, Aida Santos and Luz Cabanes - all in the Philippines; 7 grandchildren (Katrina, CC, Carmina, Miguel, Annacel, Gregory and Jessica). He was preceded in death by brother - Conrado Cabanes, Jr.A funeral mass will be held Friday, December 13, 2002, 11:00 a.m. in the small chapel at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
