Marion Razey

Mr. Marion O. Razey, Age: 91, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died of Pneumonia at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton on December 17, 2001.Marion was born on June 28, 1910 in Naches, Washington to Lewis and Mary(Barndt)Razey. He graduated from Wapato High School in Wapato, Washington in 1928.On September 30, 1949, Marion married Fredenia R. Sontag in Ellensburg, Washington. He devoted his life to farming, retiring after fifty years in 1979.Mr. Razey was a member of the United Methodist Church.Marion will be fondly remembered for his love, kindness and generosity to family, friends and those in need. He delighted those around him with the intensity and joy with which he lived life. Even though we will miss his twinkling brown eyes, quick wit and, yes, even his practical jokes, we know that he lives on in the love of Christ and the heart of humankind.Family gathered to honor Marion at his burial on December 20, 2001 at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.He is survived by his wife, Fredenia, of the family home in Port Orchard; a son, Michael F. Razey of Everett, Washington; a daughter, Barbara Razey Simmons of Port Orchard; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Walter(Bud) Razey; a daughter, Jacqueline(Jackie) Lacey; and brothers, Cliff and L.J. Razey.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
