Marit Elise "Lisa" Brusatto passed away Saturday, September 14th after a long, valiant struggle with personal illness. Born in Oslo, Norway July 24, 1942. Lisa moved to the United States when she was 17. Lisa completed school in Utah, married and moved to Alaska in 1968 where she raised her family of six.Lisa relocated to Washington state, and after some time in Bellingham settled into the Silverdale area. Lisa was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Active from time to time with the Sons of Norway, and most recently for the past several years, a full time care-giver to her mother. Lisa was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.Considered an artisan by many, Lisa was talented beyond description. Her many hobbies included painting, stained glass crafts, Oriental doll and flower making. A poet and humorist, Lisa always had something worthwhile to hear. Lisa's many enjoyments in life included the companionship of her pets. Lisa always has room in her home and heart for more.Lisa is survived by her mother Erna Breen of Poulsbo, a son Walter Bettilyon of Atlanta, Georgia, daughters therese Kelly of Lodi, California, Frances Bahrt of Sitka, Alaska, Felicia Brusatto-Streit of Palmer, Alaska, Clarice Bayne of Sitka, Alaska, and Katrina 'Maria' Brusatto of Silverdale, Washington. Grandchildren include Caitlyn Bettilyon, Anthony Farmer-Kelly, Wyatt Kelly, Eric Bahrt, Ashley Bahrt, Megan Bahrt, Theodore Bahrt, Gregory Stocker and Alex Bayne. Lisa was preceded in death by her husband Frank Brusatto.A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Blvd. in Port Orchard, Washington on Wednesday, September 18th at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association at 4414 Woodland Park Ave. North, Seattle, WA. 98103 will be gratefully appreciated.
